She died May 24 at her home. The Rev. W. L . Hildebrand will officiate at the service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under direction of B. F. King Funeral Home. Mrs. Bell was a Norfolk native. She was a member of St. John's, its Anti Cant Bible class, the stewardess board and Phyllis Wheatley Circle No. 1. Her survivors include her husband, Rufus Henry Bell Sr., five daughters, Mrs. Ophelia B. Dash of New Rochelle, NY; Mrs. Elizabeth B. Perkins, Mrs. Louise B. Harris, Mrs. Vernice B. Archer and Mrs. Virginia B. Wilson of Norfolk; five sons, Harvey Bell Sr., and Rufus H. Bell Jr., of Norfolk, James M. Bell of Jamaica, New York, Nehemiah Bell of Newark, NJ; and Alfonso Bell of Baltimore; a sister, Mrs. Bernice B. Fleming of Jamaica; 23 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will be at 1243 Marshall avenue.
