The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark October 17, 1925
Joseph Smith Bell, Jr. - The funeral of Mr. Bell will be held at 2:30 o'clock 
this afternoon at the residence, 1102 Colonial avenue.  The Rev. Howard I. 
Stewart, D.D., of the First Baptist Church, and the Rev. W.T. Greene, D.D., of 
the First M.E. Church, will conduct the services.  Interment will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.  Mr. Bell, whose death occurred Thursday morning at 8:15 o'clock, is 
survived by his wife, Mrs. Miriam Diggs Bell; two daughters, Mrs. M.K. Dixon 
and Sarah Elizabeth Bell; four sons, Clarence O. Marvin C. Joseph S. 3rd and 
William D. Bell, and seven grandchildren, all of Norfolk.
