Mr. Belote was about 50 years of age and a brother of Mr. James L. Belote, of Norfolk. He leaves a widow and six children to mourn his untimely death. He had been until lately employed in the mill business. Since last August he has been in the oyster business with Mr. J.W. Parker. He was a member of the Jr. O.U.A.M. and will get $250 and also a member of Palestine Tent of Rechabites, of Norfolk, from which his heirs will receive some small insurance. His funeral will take place this afternoon at 2:30 from his late residence. Rev. H.N. Quisenberry conducted the services, and the remains were taken to Norfolk for interment. The Jr. O.U.A.M. and Palestine Tent of Rechabites turned out in honor of him.
