Belote, died at her residence, 107 East Thirty-ninth street, Friday night at 11:45 o'clock after a short illness. Mrs. Belote was the daughter of John and Mrs. Frances Portlock Ward, was a native of Princess Anne County and had been a resident of Norfolk for 60 years. Surviving her are three daughters, Mrs. C.A. West, of New York City, and Mrs. Virginia Suddith and Mrs. A.F. Senerchia, of Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. A.C. Flemmings, of Newport News, and Mrs. R. Portlock and Mrs. Emma Mercer; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Junie F. Belote, all of Norfolk; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne road. The Rev. John F. Ward, pastor of the Church of the Ascension, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
