Willie Bembury died October 30 in a local hospital.  He was 73 years old and 
lived at 222 Fenchurch street.  Funeral services were  held Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. 
from Graves Chapel.  Rev. Martin, assistant pastor of Antioch, conducted the 
service.

He was born in Scotland Neck, NC, and had gone to Matowan NJ at the age of 
thirteen and had been visiting his sister, Mrs. Mamie Jones in Norfolk for 
about a year.

Besides his sister with whom he was visiting, he is survived by another 
sister, Mrs. Flossie Wright, two nieces and a host of friends.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in charge.
