Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark December 1, 1926

Mrs. Katherine Henigst Bendel, wife of George L. Bendel, died Monday at her 
home in Trenton, N.J., after a long illness.  She was a daughter of the late 
William and Mrs. Martha Combs Henigst and a sister of the late Miss Marie 
Anna Louie Henigst, whose funeral services were conducted here November 5.  
Mrs. Bendel had made her home in this section for a number of years before 
moving to New Jersey.  She was a native of Massachusetts and is survived by 
one brother, F.H. Henigst, of Pittsburgh, Pa.
The body will arrive tomorrow morning via the Pennsylvania Railroad and will 
be taken to the funeral home of E. Lee Cox, 124 East Berkley avenue, where 
funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock.
Burial will be in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery.
