Bendura and a native of Perth Amboy, H.J., died Thursday in a hospital. He was a retired, 28-year employee as a pipefitter of Little Creek Amphibious Base. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and the Plumbers’ and Pipefitters’ Union Local 272. He had lived here since 1940. Other survivors include two sons, Robert F. Bendura of Sherburne, N.Y., and Richard J. Bendura of Williamsburg; four sisters, Mrs. Mary B. Kilbourne of Durham County, N.C., Mrs. Catherine B. Tralka and Mrs. Julia B. Grabowski of Utica, N.Y., and M. Helen B. Ziegler of Yorkville, two brothers, John Bendura of Florida and Michael Bendura of Syracuse, N.Y.; and eight grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated today at 11 am in Christ the King Catholic Church by the Rev J Michael Breslin. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery with Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, in charge. The family will be at his home.
