Norfolk Virginia Pilot November 30, 1947

Harold Bennett, aged 56, husband of Mrs. Emylee M. Bennett and son of the late 
Harry and Mrs. Harriette Anderson Bennett, died at a local hospital Saturday 
night at 9:55 o'clock. Mr. Bennett was a native of New Jersey and a resident of 
this section for the past 10 years, residing at 119 East Gilpin Avenue. He was a 
member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ocean View.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Roland C. Bennett, of Chicago; 
Harold and Kendal Bennett, both of Norfolk; two daughters, Joan and Judith 
Bennett, both of Norfolk; four brothers and a sister, all of New Jersey. The 
body was taken to the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, pending arrangements.

o’clock p.m., HAROLD, husband of Mrs. Emylee M. Bennett and son of the late 
Harry and Mrs. Harriette Anderson Bennett, in the 57th year of his age. Remains 
were taken to the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, No. 1501 Colonial Avenue, 
pending arrangements.
