J.S. Whitworth, of Maple Avenue, received a telegram announcing the death of his son-in-law, Capt. Myers Bennett, at New London, Conn., on the 3d instant. The deceased had been ill two months and was 52 years old. He is survived by a widow, three sisters and two brothers. They are: Mrs. Moore, Mrs. Renley, Miss Bennett, Capt. Robert Bennett and Capt. Ward Bennett. The remains of the deceased will be brought to this place for funeral and interment. ******************************************************************* BROUGHT TO BERKLEY FOR INTERMENT The remains of the late Myers Bennett, who died Tuesday at New London, Conn., arrived yesterday evening at 5:30 o:clock over the Norfolk and Western railroad for funeral and interment. The funeral will be conducted at the residence of Captain Alexander Calcott, corner of Maple Avenue and Clifton Streets, with Rev. E.W. Cowling, rector of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, officiating, and the interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
