Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, March 22, 
NORFOLK - Ernest Edwin Bennett Jr., 96, of the 100 block of East Arden Circle, 
died March 19, 2003 in a Norfolk nursing facility.



Mr. Bennett was a native and longtime resident of Norfolk. He was a member of 
Ghent United Methodist Church. Mr. Bennett retired from the U.S. Naval Base, 
Norfolk after 30 years service as an engineer.



Survivors include his nephew, Russell E. Bennett Jr. and his wife Arlene of 
Norfolk and their children, Susan Morris and Rusty Bennett both of Richmond; 
his niece, Jane Bennett and her husband Mike and their daughter, Cay Billings 
all of Norfolk; and his nephew, John Bennett and his wife Bonnie and their 
children, Audrey and J.W. Bennett all of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.



A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Elmwood Cemetery , 
Norfolk by the Rev. Don Wilson. Memorial donations may be made to the Medical 
College of Hampton Roads. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is 
handling arrangements.
