Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, October 28, 1993
Daisy Belle Benson, of the 700 block of W. 36th St., died Oct. 26, 1993, in
DePaul Hospital.

Mrs. Benson was born in Havelock, N.C. She had been a laundry worker for
Sanitary Linen Service. She was the widow of James Oliver Benson and was a
member of First Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Mary Staten of Norfolk, Daisy Benson of
Moyock, Carolyn Seaberry of Kingman, Ariz., and Doris Kallon of Capital Heights,
Md.; three sons, Johnnie Benson, Robert Benson and Samuel Benson, all of
Norfolk; 35 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 875
Baker Road, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. C.K. Jones. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery . The remains will be ready for viewing at 4 p.m. today in Carlos A.
Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk. The family will assemble at the residence at 11
a.m. for the processional.
