Final rites were held last Wednesday at B. F. King Funeral Home for Miss Mary 
Benton, 38, of 1447 Proescher street, who died in a Norfolk hospital after a 
short illness.

The Rev. J. B. Johnson of Fellowship Christian Church officiated at the rites.  
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

A native of Norfolk, Miss Benton was employed by Hanbury Bakery and Restaurant 
for 15 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dolores Bryant;  a sister, Mrs. Gladys B. 
Peyton;  two brothers, John C. Benton and William F. Benton;  and three 
grandchildren.
