Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, March 3, 1994 
Clara ``Clarissa'' Benton of the 7000 block of Auburn Ave., a homemaker, died
Feb. 23, 1994 in Norfolk.

Mrs. Benton was born in Norfolk and was a member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church,
Norfolk.

Survivors include her husband, Allen L. Benton; two sisters, Lucy Mae Price and
Ella Timblelake; and one brother, Robert Lee Godfrey, all of Norfolk.

A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Macedonia Holiness Church,
Norfolk, by the Rev. Anthony E. Moses. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery .
Family and friends will meet at E.A. Hughes Funeral Home for the procession to
the church. A wake will be held from 8 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
