Robinson ``Boot'' Benton, of the 1000 block of Norwich Ave., died peacefully 
March 23, 2003, at Virginia Beach General Hospital. 

He was a native of Lexington, N.C., and the son of the late Theo Dewitt and 
Margaret Robinson Benton. Mr. Benton retired as a butcher's helper from the 
former Perlin's Kosher Market. 

He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted sister, Juanita K. McKay and husband, 
Christopher; a nephew, Lester K. McKay; an aunt; and a host of cousins. He was 
predeceased by a sister, Peggy Benton Neale. 

A funeral will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Riddick Funeral 
Service by the Rev. William Collins. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . 
Viewing will be today from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
