Virginian Pilot July 19, 1904
The funeral of John Wallace, the 9-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Berkley, was 
conducted from the family residence in Chestnut street, Sunday morning at 10 
o'clock.
The obsequies were conducted by Rev. Robert Gatewood, rector of St. Paul's P.E. 
Church, assisted by Rev. W. Asbury Christian, pastor of Memorial M.E. Church.  A 
large number of friends of the bereaved family were present at the funeral to pay 
their last sad tribute of respect.  The interment was private in Magnolia 
Cemetery.
