Berry, aged 79, husband of Mrs. Lola Wood Berry, and son of the late Robert and Mrs. Mary Land Berry, died at the residence of his son, John F. Berry, Jr., 2912 St. Mihiel avenue, Lafayette Annex, last night at 9 o'clock. He was a native and life long resident of Norfolk and was a member of Massasoit Tribe 77, Red Men. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C. C. Price and Miss Ethel Berry; four sons, John F. Berry, Jr., Linwood W., Aubrey W. and Ernest Wood Berry; 16 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one niece and two nephews, all of Norfolk. The body was taken to H. D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-612 East Freemason street, this afternoon at 4 o'clock with Rev. E. F. Chauncey, pastor of the Baptist Tabernacle, officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
