Virginian-Pilot January 31, 1947
William Franklin Berry, 81, son of William and Elizabeth Sykes Berry, died at 
the residence of his niece, Mrs. W. Marvin Towe, at Lynnhaven, yesterday at 5:10 
a.m., after an illness of a week.
He had been employed by the Virginia Electric and Power Company for 37 years, 
retiring about 15 years ago. He was a native of Norfolk and moved to Lynnhaven 
11 years ago.
He is survived by four nieces, Mrs. Towe, Mrs. Sam Ozment, Mrs. R. M. Arnold and 
Mrs. Rl L. Rea, and five nephews, E. F., R. O., J. B., L. E. and N. I. Gray, all 
of Norfolk.
Services will be conducted at the Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home tomorrow at 3 
p.m. by the Rev. Henry W. Tiffany, pastor of the Park Place Baptist Church, of 
which Mr. Berry was a member. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
