Funeral rites for Humphrey Berry, 58, were held at First Calvary Baptist Church 
Tuesday, Nov. 17.  The Rev. C. E. Griffin officiated.

Mr. Berry died at his home, 1116 Wide street, Saturday, Nov. 14, after a long 
illness.

A native of Windsor, NC, he had lived in Norfolk five years.  He was a member of 
Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Lewiston, NC.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Winnie Berry;  two sons, Robert Berry and 
Randolph Berry of New York City;  four sisters, Mrs. Bessie Lee of Norfolk, Mrs. 
Cassie B. Smith of Detroit, Mrs. Leona B Mitchell and Mrs. Ethel B. White of New 
York City;  two brothers, Thurston and Willie E. Berry Sr. of Norfolk.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Morning Glory Funeral Home in charge.
