Norfolk Virginian Pilot October 31, 1935

Mrs. Lelia Berry, 62, widow of Richard W. Berry, died at the residence, 519 New 
Jersey avenue, yesterday morning at 6 o'clock.  She is survived by three 
daughters, Miss Gladys M. Berry, Mrs. Guy L. Evans and Mrs. F.M. Gregory; two 
sons, R.E. and C.H. Berry, all of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. W.S. Cartwright, of 
Elizabeth City, N.C.; five brothers, Barney, Walter F., John, Edward and Lloyd 
I. Berry, all of Weeksville, N.C.; two grandchildren, Shirley Anne Berry and Guy 
Lambert Evans, Jr., both of Norfolk; and a number of nieces and nephews.  Mrs. 
Berry was a native of Weeksville and had been a resident of Norfolk for 30 
years.  She was a member of the Park Place Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
morning at 11 o'clock.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
