The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Sunday May 14, 1944
Lowell Williams Berry, 72, died suddenly yesterday morning,  He is survived by 
two daughters, Mrs. Carley Ballance, of Norfolk, and Mrs. Bertha L. Lanni, of 
Dalgren; two sons, Sylvan A. L. Berry of Norfolk, and Melvin S. Berry, of 
Charlottesville; a half-sister, Mrs. Lillian Furman, a half-brother, Joseph 
Berry, both of Portsmouth, and five grandchildren.  Mr. Berry was a native of 
Camden County, North Carolina, and had resided in Norfolk 54 years.  He was a 
member of the Epworth Methodist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 
the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow at 4 p.m.  Burial will be in Magnolia 
Cemetery.
