Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - December 27, 2015
Virginia Beach - Alyce Bess, 85, passed away on December 20, 2015. She was a 
retired teacher with Norfolk Public Schools with over 40 years of service. 
Alyce was an active member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Portsmouth. She was 
a member of the Norfolk Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Alyce 
is survived by a multitude of family and friends. A life celebration service 
will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, December 29 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 
901 Thomas Circle, Portsmouth. The family has entrusted J. T. Fisher Funeral 
Services to handle the final care arrangements. Condolences can be offered to
