NORFOLK - Mrs. Martha Beverly, 80, of 419 W. 28th St. died Monday in a nursing 
home.

A native of Harrellsville, N.C., she was the widow of Eli Beverly and a daughter 
of Mrs. Carolina Speight.

She was a member of Second Calvary Baptist Church and formerly on its No. 1 
Usher Board.

Surviving is a stepson, John S. Beverly of Portsmouth.

A federal service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Second Calvary Baptist 
Church by the Rev. H.W.B. Walker. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Mosely 
Funeral Home has charge.

The family will be at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Rachel Beverly of 
961 Gordon Ave.
