Norfolk - Mrs. Rachel C. Beverly of 961 Gordon avenue died in her home after a
short illness.

A native of Nansemond County, she was a daughter of the late Rev. James T. and
Mrs. Palmetta Coleman.

She was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church and its Funeral Committee, and
Evanti Social and Civic Club.

Surviving are a brother, Robert L. Coleman of Norfolk; and five sisters, Mrs.
Salla Pryor and Mrs. Allie C. Sharrock of Philadelphia, Mrs. Sarah C. Perkins,
Mrs. Elizabeth Pharr, and Mrs. Ruth C. Bellamy of Norfolk.

A funeral service was held in New Calvary Baptist Church by Dr. Milton A. Reid.
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Moseley Funeral Home in charge.
