John Robert Biddle, of the 8000 block of Alida Drive, went to be with his Lord 
on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004 in a local nursing center. 

He was retired from the American Tobacco Company as a supervisor in their 
processing plant. Born in Norfolk, he was the son of the late Lillie Jones 
Biddle and Robert C. Biddle, and was the oldest living member of Christ 
Lutheran Church in Norfolk. 

Survivors include his beloved wife, Ann Polk Biddle of Norfolk, and many 
friends who will miss him dearly. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Elmwood Cemetery 
by the Rev. Dr. Lawrence Zimmermann. Anyone wishing to pay their respects to 
Mr. Biddle may visit at their convenience at Cox Funeral Home. Memorial 
contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 6510 N. Military Highway, 
Norfolk, VA 23518
