Mrs. Catherine Theresa McCarthy Bidgood, 62, widow of James Edward Bidgood and 
daughter of the late Robert Joseph and Mrs. Catherine Coyne McCarthy, died at a 
local hospital yesterday afternoon at 4:15 o'clock. Mrs. Bidgood was a native of 
Philadelphia and a resident of this section for the past 35 years, residing in 
Indian River Park, Norfolk County, at the time of her death. She was an employe 
of Garrett's Hatchery.
Surviving her are a daughter, Mrs. A.J. McSweeney, of Norfolk County; two 
grandsons, Edward Terrance and Steven Francis McSweeney, of Norfolk County and 
two sisters, Mrs. Mary Temple, of Norfolk and Mrs. D. Daly, of Philadelphia.
The body will be taken from the H,,D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Mathew's 
Catholic Church, of which Mrs. Bidgood was a member, for funeral services 
Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary 
services will be held at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Monday night at 8 
o'clock.

Bidgood, Catherine Theresa McCarthy - At a local hospital, Saturday, February 5, 
1944, at 4:15 o'clock p.m., Catherine Theresa McCarthy, widow of James Edward 
Bidgood and daughter of the late Robert Joseph and Catherine Coyne McCarthy, 
died in the 63rd year of her age.  Remains will be taken from the H. D. Oliver 
Funeral Apartments, No. 1501 Colonial Avenue, to St. Mathew's Catholic Church 
for services Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock.  Friends of the family are invited 
to attend.  Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery.
