Virginian-Pilot  June 15, 1939
James Edward Bidgood, aged 56, husband of Mrs. Catherine T. Bidgood and son of the 
late Walton D. and Mrs. Rachel Benson Bidgood, a native of Philadelphia, and a 
well-known resident of this section for the past 31 years, died yesterday morning 
at 5:40 o'clock at a local hospital.
Mr. Bidgood resided in Indian River Park.  Besides his wife, Mrs. Catherine T. 
Bidgood, he is survived by one daughter, Miss Eileen T. Bidgood, of Indian River 
Park; one brother, Walton B. Bidgood, and a sister, Mrs. Walter Druce, both of 
Philadelphia.
Services will be held at the chapel of the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 
Colonial Avenue, tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock, with the Rev. F. V. Bambrick, of 
St. Mary's Catholic Church, officiating.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
