NORFOLK - William "Bro" Billups, 88, passed away in his home in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Feb. 11, 2010. Bro grew up in Norfolk and moved to New York as a young man after
serving in the U.S. Army. He worked for Delta Airlines for more than 30 years.
William moved back to Norfolk for a short period of time and then returned to
Brooklyn.

He was the only son of the late William and Lenora Billups. Williams was
preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Elouise Billups and two sisters,
Florence Reid and Lenora Burnside. Bro leaves to cherish his memory two sons,
William and Andre, both of Brooklyn and nephew, Joseph and wife Mildred of Norfolk.

A celebration of his life will be held at Queen Street Baptist Church Wednesday,
Feb. 24, 2010 at 11 a.m. Dr. Glenn Porter will officiate. Interment will be at
Calvary Cemetery. Hale Funeral Home is in charge.
