Virginian Pilot, May 26,1962
Norfolk - Mrs. Bertha Billups of 410 Chestnut St. died Friday at 10:15 a.m. in
her home after a short illness.

A native of Norfolk, she was a daughter of Isaac and Mrs. Selena Billups.

She was employed by Norfolk Family Laundry 22 years and was a member of Midtown
Section Club of New Calvary Baptist Church and Southside Social and Savings Club.

Surviving are two sons, Alvin Billups and Norman Billups, and four daughters,
Mrs. Bernice Jackson, Mrs. Florine Jones, Miss Odessa Billups and Miss Delores
Billups, all of Norfolk;  and four brothers, Augustus Billups of Boston and
William Billups, Samuel Billups and Tilton Billups of Norfolk.

The body was taken to Riddick Funeral Service.

A funeral service will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in New Calvary Baptist Church
by the Rev. Samuel A. Wilson.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
