At 1:45 o'clock this morning occurred the death of Mrs. Lizzie A. Billups at 
the home of her husband, Mr. C. Billups, No. 216 Bute street. She had been ill 
about one week.

Mrs. Billups was the daughter of the late Hon. Ezra T. Summers, who was Mayor 
of Norfolk in 1856 and 1857. She leaves five children, as follows: Mrs. J. C. 
McGarrock, of Max Meadows; Mrs. W. S. Sayers, of Wytheville; Mrs F. W. Browne, 
Mr. George C. Billups and Mr. Cecil Billups, of Norfolk.

The deceased lady was a member of Christ Episcopal Church. The funeral 
arrangements will be announced later.
