Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, November 9, 2002 
NORFOLK - Edward Tyler ``Newton'' Binns of the 6100 block of Tidewater Drive
died Nov. 5, 2002. He was the son of the late Elnora Tyler and Frank Binns and
was born Nov. 18, 1929 in Southampton County. He departed this life Nov. 5,
2002. He was a former member of New Calvary Baptist Church.

Edward attended the Norfolk public schools and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

He leaves a wife, Rose Binns; two children, Edward Tyler of Chesapeake and
Sharon Jones of Ladson, S.C.; four grandchildren; and a host of other relatives
and friends.

A funeral will be held Monday at noon in Graves Funeral Chapel with Elder John
Figgs and the Rev. Rufus Jackson, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery
