CHESAPEAKE — Hattie Wright Biondo, 94, of the 300 block of Glenn Avenue, Norfolk, 
a retired weaver, died May 20, 1986, in a nursing home.

Mrs. Biondo, a native of White Plains, was the widow of Nunzlato Bionda. She was 
formerly a weaver in a silk mill. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic 
Church and the Legion of Mary at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary V. Weatherspoon of Norfolk; four 
granddaughters, Valerie A. Richardson of Portsmouth, Deborah J. Modlin and Alma M. 
Beck, both of Virginia Beach, and Mary Jo Elkins of Norfolk; and six great-
grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in Christ the King Catholic Church 
by the Rev. J. Michael Breslin. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. A prayer 
service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk, 
where the family will be until 9 p.m.
