She lived here since 1923. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church for 43 years. She was a member of its Woman’s Missionary Society, chairman of the Flower Committee, and teacher of the Cradle Roll and Junior High Departments of the church. She also was a member of Coleman Place Women’s Club. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Jean B. Porter of Nashville, Tenn., Mrs. Judith B. Coleman of Hatteras, N.C., and Mrs. Frances B. Fonyo of Norfolk; a son, William Leigh Bishop of Virginia Beach; three brothers, George Douglas Tise of Edenton, N.C., Thomas Henry Tise of Norfolk, and John Brady Tise of Las Cruces, N.M.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The body was taken to Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, where the family will be tonight from 7 to 8 and also at the home of Mrs. Frances Fonyo of 201 E. Bay Ave. A funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Trinity Baptist Church by Dr. Walker N. Stockburger. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The body will be in church at 1 p.m. Saturday.
