Bishop, native of Norfolk VA, passed away peacefully at her home on August 17, 2021. Gladys was reared in the Norfolk City Schools and gave back to her school system until her retirement in 1989. She was a faithful member of the Historic First Baptist Church, Bute St. and a member of the Lindenwood/Cottage Heights Civic League. She leaves to cherish her memory; daughter, Linda Bishop; granddaughter, Anita K. Bishop; great-granddaughters, Sequoia Bishop and Ashley Bishop; great grandson, Keyshawn L. Brown; great-great-granddaughter, Paris Deloatch; great-great-grandson Kendrick L. Bishop; niece Marsha Jones; great nephew, Mark Jones; great-great niece, Hailey Jones, and a host of other relatives and sorrow filled friends. A Life Celebration will be held, Thursday, August 26, 2021, at the hour of 11:00 a.m. in the Historic First Baptist Church, Bute St. Murray Center, 455 E. Brambleton Blvd, Norfolk VA 23510.
