Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark December 13, 1915

John T. Bishop died Sunday morning at 10 o'clock at his residence 1224 Twenty-
seventh Street, Lambert's Point. He was 67 years old. The funeral will take place 
this afternoon at the residence at 2:30 o'clock. Interment will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, five sons, S.G., E.W., J.O., N.F., of 
Norfolk and T.H. Bishop of Portsmouth; one daughter, Mrs. W.G. Cobb, of Norfolk 
and one brother, C.H. Bishop, of Portsmouth. The funeral will be conducted by Rev. 
J.A. McKaughan, pastor of Burroughs Memorial Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. 
George Cox, of the Battery Park Baptist Church.
