Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - June 15, 1994 
Lonnie B. Bivens of the 1800 block of Willoughby Ave., a custodian, died June 
11, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mr. Bivens was born in Marshville, N.C. He was employed with Old Dominion 
University and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sisters, Virginia Davis of Monroe, N.C., and Asiellie 
Osborne and Levoria Durham, both of Maryland; and four brothers, Romie Bivens 
of Portsmouth, George Bivens of Long Island, N.Y., Albert Bivens Sr. of Norfolk 
and Javan Bivens of Marshville, N.C.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Antioch Baptist Church by the 
Rev. Dr. I. Joseph Williams. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. The remains 
will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. today. The body will be taken to the church 
at 11 a.m. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
