She was a daughter of William and Mrs. Rosa Segear, and widow of Robert Black. She was a native of Norfolk. She was an alumnus of the old Norfolk Mission College, and a member of the Everready Neighbor Club, and the First Baptist Church on Bute street, where she was active in the Dora Billups Missionary Circle. Surviving are four daughters, Miss Emma V. Black, Mrs. Rosa B. White, Mrs. Annie B. Shaw and Mrs. Olga B. Steverson; three sons, Robert J. Black, Roland H. Black and Raymond M. Black, all of Norfolk; five sisters; 22 grandchildren and on great-grandchild. The body was taken to the E. A. Hughes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at the First Baptist Church on Bute street Monday at 3 p.m. by the Rev. E. Paul Simms, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
