Mr. Black was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was employed by the city of Norfolk and was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church in Norfolk and the usher board until his health failed. He was a saxophonist for the Clint Turner Band. Survivors include his wife, Beatrice M. Black of Norfolk; a daughter, Connie Banks of Norfolk; a stepson, David J. McEachern Jr. of New York; and a niece, Elanine Banks of Chicago, Ill. A graveside service will be conducted at noon Thursday in Calvary Cemetery by the Rev. Gilbert Campbell. Viewing will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. The family will assemble at the residence at 11 a.m. for the processional Thursday. Carlos A.
