F. Blackburn, well known resident of Stafford County, died at Grafton, the old Waller home in Stafford, Sunday morning at 3 o'clock after an illness of several months following a stroke of paralysis in July. Mr. Blackburn, who was fifty years of age, was a brother of Mrs. R. J. Payne, of this city. The deceased was the son of the late C. F. and Nannie Waller Blackburn, of Stafford, and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Bayton Blackburn. He was employed in the United States railway mail service and operated a farm in Stafford. Funeral services took place from the home Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Charles W. Sheerin, rector of Trinity Episcopal church and interment will take place in Norfolk Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Mr. Blackburn was well known in this city and Stafford and was popular with all who knew him.
