Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - March 23, 2010
NORFOLK - Joseph Baron Black Jr., 58, of the 300 block of W. 31st St., passed
away March 18, 2010 at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center. He was born Dec. 27,
1951 to the late Bessie and Joseph Black Sr. in Norfolk. He was a member of St.
Mark RZUA Church. Joe was a retired utility worker for the City of Norfolk.
He was predeceased by his wife, Janice Faye Black. He is survived by two
sisters, Cassandra Goss and Brenda Black; and a host of other relatives and
friends.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Metropolitan Funeral Service,
Berkley Chapel. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and
friends will assemble at 325 W. 31st St. No. 3 one hour prior to service for
procession to the chapel.
