Virginian Pilot September 14, 1979

Leroy Blackwell of 3504 Seay Ave., Apt. B, Ingleside, the husband of Mrs. Hazel 
Blackwell, died Thursday in a hospital.
He was a native of Princess Anne County and was employed as a longshoreman four 
years. He was a Baptist.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Hannah McAllister and three sons, Leroy 
Blackwell Jr., Robert Blackwell and James Blackwell, all of Norfolk; eight 
grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A funeral will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Hale Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. 
J.L. Kearney. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
