 Norfolk Virginian Pilot Friday May 17, 1946
Mrs. Frances DeJarnette Blackwell, 82, widow of the Rev. C.S. Blackwell, Sr., 
and daughter of the late Robert E. and Mrs. Cordelia Burke DeJarnette, a 
native of Clifton, Caroline County, and a resident of Norfolk for 75 years, 
died yesterday at 12:45 p.m. at the residence, 204 Garden Apartments, 600 
Stockley Gardens. She is survived by one son, Dr. Hugh B. Blackwell of 
Norfolk.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the 
H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments by the Rev. Jason L. MacMillan, pastor of the 
First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
