He was a veteran of World Wars I and II, having served for 30 years in the Navy. He was a member of Fleet Reserve No. 60, of American Legion Post No. 204, of San Juan Lodge No. 972, B P.O. Elks, of Puerto Rica, of Christ the King Catholic Church, and of Norfolk Lodge No. 367, Knights of Columbus. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Gordon Edward Blair Jr.; a daughter, Mrs. Ann B. Mayes, and a grandchild, of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Wood of New York, and Mrs. John Sheehan of Brooklyn, and a brother, Walter Blair, of Baldwin, N.Y. The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Christ the King Catholic Church for funeral services tomorrow at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the funeral apartments tonight at 7:30 o’clock.
