Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark March 25, 1936

Jeanette Blalock, aged 44, died yesterday morning at a local hospital after a 
short illness. She was a native of Pittsburgh, Pa. and had been a resident of 
Norfolk for 15 years. Surviving her are three sons, Pete Jianakos, of Raleigh, 
N.C.; Gus Jianakons, of Meriden, Conn. and Tony Jianakos, ,of Asheville, N.C. 
The body was removed to the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess 
Anne Road pending funeral arrangements.

Mrs. Jeanette Blalock —- Funeral services for Mrs. Blalock, who died Tuesday, 
were conducted yesterday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the funeral home of James V. 
Derry by Father A. P. Campbell. There were many floral offerings. The casket was 
covered with a double spray of roses, carnations and fern.
Pallbearers were W. R. Manning, H. C. Collins, T. D. Sullivan, F. S. Sansone, G. 
Tobin and M. C. Giddens. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
