Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - February 14, 2009
CHESAPEAKE - Lawrence Bland Sr., of the 100 block of Gainsboro Square, passed
away Feb. 11, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Lucille Bland; four daughters;
three sons; one sister, Mary E. Hendricks; one brother, Calvin Bland; 13
grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins
and friends.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Metropolitan Funeral Service, Berkley
Ave. Chapel. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk. Family and friends
will assemble at 1211 Bethel Road one hour prior to the service for the
procession to the chapel. Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
