Norfolk Ledger Dispatch November 24, 1936


Miss Bessie Watkins Blankinship, aged 84, daughter of the late William and Mrs. 
Elizabeth Watkins Blankinship, died at the Mary F. Ballentine Home last night 
at 7:10 o’clock. Miss Blankinship was a native of Chesterfield County, and had 
been a resident of Norfolk for several years. She is survived by one brother, 
John Blankinship, and a sister Miss Victoria Blankinship, both of Richmond.
Funeral services will be held at the above home, Wednesday morning at 11 
o’clock. Miss Blankinship was a consistent member of St. Peter’s Episcopal 
Church. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
