Funeral rites for Mrs. Ida Blount of 849 Jefferson street who died in a local 
hospital on Sunday, Sept. 26 were held at Hale Chapel on Sept. 29 with the 
Rev. E. W. Williams officiating. A native of Creswell, NC, Mrs. Blount had 
lived here eight years. She was the wife of Milton Blount who besides one son, 
and other relatives and friends survive. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery.
