Mr. Blount, a Norfolk native, was employed with Peck Iron & Metal Co. He was the widower of Emma Blount. He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. Survivors include a sister, Vernetta Blount of Chesapeake. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Metropolitan Funeral Home by the Rev. James H. Bluitt. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 10:30 a.m.at 125 Gregg St., Chesapeake, for the procession.
