Mrs. Emma Blue, 86, Dies; Funeral Today

NORFOLK - Mrs. Emma Blue, 86, widow of Charlie Albert Blue, veteran employe of 
the Virginia Transit Co. here, died Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. at the home of her 
daughter, Mrs. Laura Brown, 1031 Chapel St., after an illness of 18 months.

Born in West Virginia, she had lived here for 58 years.

Besides Mrs. Brown, surviving are one other daughter, Mrs. Hattie Jordan of 
Norfolk; one brother, Whalon Bolden of Pittsburgh, Pa; one sister, Mrs. Fanny 
Grant of Norfolk; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-
grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted today at 1 p.m. at the Riddick Funeral Home 
on Chapel street. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
