Norfolk Virginian January 14, 1888

BLUFORD - Friday, January 13, at 4 a.m. ELIZABETH BLUFORD, aged 89 years.
Her funeral will take place SUNDAY, 15th, at 3 o'clock from her late 
residence, 310 Bute Street.  Friends and acquaintances of the family are 
invited to attend.

The funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth Bluford took place from her late residence, 
Bute Street, Sunday afternoon, and was largely attended.  The services were 
conducted by Rev. J.L. Burrows, D.D., pastor of the Freemason Street Baptist 
Church and the remains were interred in Elmwood Cemetery.  At the expressed 
wish of the venerable lady, six of her nephews acted as pallbearers, as 
follows:  Messrs, Richard L. Herbert, John C. Herbert, George W. Consolvo, 
Eugene H. Consolvo, David E. Williams and Luther Williams.
