Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, August 23, 1997 
Ethel May Bly, 49, of the 2300 block of Grandy Ave., died Aug. 19, 1997 in her
residence.

Born in Elizabeth City, she was employed by Norfolk State University for more
than 22 years.

Survivors include a son, Randy Paul Bly; her mother, Pearline Davis; and two
sisters, Mary Virginia Bond and Emma Lou Johnson.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in the Apostolic Soul Saving Church
of the Lord Jesus Christ by Pastor Naomi Smith. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery . Family and friends will assemble at the residence at 11 a.m. Monday
for the procession to the church. Hale Funeral Home is in charge.
